Dear You,
I dreamt about you last night, I dreamt that I wished you came over. And I’d made a few petards, and we went for a long walk. Around the suburbs. Around where I grew up, where I used to play kickball, where the bus used to stop.
In the darkness of the night.
A massive walk, getting lost in the backstreets of the suburbs of my childhood.
To a point where we were both just so careless and giggly nothing mattered. And all thoughts came out.
To a point of full understanding.
To why.
Because then, maybe then, I could sleep. Peacefully.
Comfortably, happily, and peacefully.
One day. Some days. But one day really.
Thrown to the Wind
Beijing-based artist Wang Zhiyuan piece entitled Thrown to the Wind ascends 36 feet into the air. Zhiyuan’s tornado of plastic waste is a reminder of the trash that overwhelms his hometown and it’s surrounding environment. It pretty much speaks to anyone - the reality is that we are all living with it the effects of non-dispoable waste.
